Get ready for the biggest Mexican food and tequila celebration in Johannesburg as Festival De Mexico returns to Montecasino’s Outdoor Events Area on 3 May 2025.
Festival De Mexico was born out of love for Mexican food, live music and of course the tequila. 11 festivals and over 50 000 attendees later, it’s safe to say AAAAAAAARIBA! The Outdoor Events Area will be blanketed in colourful décor to transform it into the ultimate fiesta of SA’S favourite day out! With delicious food from Joburg’s best Mexican street food vendors, a lot of tequila, cocktails by the plenty, a piñata showdown, a chili eating competition & entertainment in bucket loads.

Skull Sip & Paint Station
Toast to your creativity and Unleash your artistic flair! On the day, try your hand at painting a beautiful sugar skull or your version of a Don Julio Tequila bottle at our sip and paint station.
R300 and includes a 1 hour paint & sip session during Festival De Mexico, 1 x Skull, 1 x Don Julio Tequila.
Please note that there are 4 paint & sip sessions from 1pm to 4pm.
