Award-winning Boktown to host live screenings of Castle Rugby Championship.
Montecasino’s Boktown, the award-winning venue for the Best Place to Watch the Game (as voted by readers in the Best of Joburg awards), will come alive for two of the clashes between the southern hemisphere’s rugby giants in this year’s Castle Rugby Championships. Boktown is the only place to watch the games on Saturday, 20 July when the Springboks take on the Wallabies, and on Saturday 17 August when the Pumas come up against the mighty Boks.
The official Springbok rugby supporters’ village, Boktown will take over the Piazza to create a nail-biting sporting experience that offers passionate Springbok fans the best alternative to being at the game. Fans will gather to support the Boks and watch the game live on the big screen while sharing the gees with family and friends: live entertainment, DJs, interactive activities for the kids, bars, scrumptious food, great competitions with amazing prizes and sponsor giveaways, guest appearances by South African rugby legends and last but not least, Bokkie – the official Springbok mascot. But that’s not all! There’s also the chance to cause some FOMO by sharing the Boktown spirit, courtesy of 250Mb of free WiFi.
Gates open at 16h00, kick off is at 17h05. Spend only R30 on your entry ticket and grab your free beer, cider, glass of wine, soft drink or water to start the festivities. Dress warmly and prepare to support the Boks!
